    Hello From California!

Hello All! I have been a lurker for a while here on these awesome forums and I finally went for it and bought a hammock. I have taken it hiking and have learned at least in my area I need a bug net. I can't wait to go backpacking now this season.

I am still undecided on the type of tarp I will get but, My hammock is the ENO singlenest with the Atlas straps.

You're going to need that net anywhere in your part of the Sierra until the standing water dries up, and the little varmints all starve to death! I've traveled extensively in that part of the Sierra, and they're all over the place, lurking under the mule ears and the balsam root.

Welcome from a (temporarily displaced) fellow Sacramentan. I love getting up into the Sierras and hammocking has made it SO much nicer. Have fun, enjoy, and learn a lot.
    - We're never going to survive this!!
    - Nonsense. You only say that because no one ever has.
