MI: Summer Hang > Yankee Springs Long Lake Rustic > June???

I've noticed a lot of new people from West Michigan joining and posting questions about what equipment to buy, so I'd like to try to organize a group hang next month at Yankee Springs. I'd like to get some input on which weekend would work good for everyone.

The majority of people are available for the June 12-14 weekend so, let's plan on that weekend.

I could show up and stay the night of the 13th. I have a graduation ceremony on the 12 and the next weekend I have a wedding. Don't plan around just me though.

I could really do either weekend.

BackpackerGuy mentioned being able to do the 12-14 weekend as well. So that's at least 3 of us that could make that weekend.

Also were you planning on the deep lake rustic site? Or is there camping at long lake as well? I've only been to deep lake.

Yes, I meant Deep Lake. I always get the two confused.

I'm about 2-1/2 hrs southwest in IN. Bought a WBBB from Backpakerguy a few weeks back and been dying to get out of my backyard. Following this thread to see if ya'll put this together. Would really like to meet some of you.

Of the 2 weekends, June 12-14 works best for me.

Ok...June 12-14 it is. I've been informed that we need to reserve a bunch of sites in order to use the group camp area. Is anyone familiar with the campground enough to let me know what sites we should reserve?

Most of the sites on the loops overlooking the lake are good for hanging, IIRC. The ones closer to the entrance of the park are typically wide open and are not very good for hanging. I'll bring my TD stand just in case.
