    Snugpak Jungle Hammock

Hey guys I'm not new to the forum but this is my first post. I was wondering what yall's thoughts are on the Snugpak jungle hammock and rain fly. I am considering one.

    Thanks,

    Jake

First thing I noticed was the two lines needed to suspend the netting. That alone would be a deal breaker for me. There are lots better choices out there imo.

I have one, not really a great hammock for $50.00. Netting is really thin and prone to tearing. Suspension is terrible as supplied, 550 para cord with a bunch of knots tied at four inch intervals. I would not buy another one with or without the netting.

I have a Snugpak Jungle as my first hammock and from my experience I have found ways to make it work for me and enjoy it. I agree with the netting seeming cheap and the suspension that come with it was something that I repurposed and switched to whoopie slings. as for the two loops for the netting suspension I just use two small shock cords and hook them to my tarp continuous ridgeline and it works just fine. I have had some pretty good hangs in my Snugpak Jungle, and if you are willing to upgrade your suspension, then I would say that it isn't a terrible option.
    KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!

This was my first one also. Netting suspension is a pain, and I did tear it sitting in it tied too tight and the hammock too loose....rofl, but it's not bad if your a smaller person under 6 ft and 250, I would say. And yes swap suspension...great kids hammock
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
