Hoping not to intrude on your post here. I am the son of a United States NAVY chief. 21 years in. Loved every moment of it. I asked my Dad once..."Hey Dad, what to Chiefs do?" he took a beat them picked up his coffee and started walking away and over his shoulder said to me "Chief stuff." That said it al to me.
I loved being a NAVY kid. Saw so much world.
Just back from the first Hang Con Europe and got to meet the Danish Veterans Group. Good folk. I got much insight.
My Dad's retirement announcement in the New Makri Greece Marathon Runner. He even mentions hid hammocks onboard.
