I am relatively new to no warm weather hammocking. Last weekend I went into the woods to practice. It was 40 degrees or so, however quite windy with 20 mph winds and higher gusts, not that bad but still significant. I was warm with a top and bottom quilt, and a hat on my head, but the wind coming through the hammock onto my face did bother me a little. How do people deal with that, or does it just not bother you after a while? Should I have brought the tarp in more to block the wind? I could feel some of the heat getting pulled out of the bottom quilt, so I added a homemade silnylon undercover- I made it as a wind locker but people here seem to call them undercovers.
