    Incubator 30*/40* weight?

I'm about to order an Incubator 30* but was wondering if anyone has ordered a 30* or 40* underquilt and what it actually weighs?

On the HG site, the specs listed are for a 20* and it says about 16.4oz, but I've also seen some youtube videos that say their 40* incubator was about 19oz. I know different or custom materials or fabric colors can change this slightly, but I still don't have a good grasp on what to expect.

Any help or examples you have is much appreciated! (and as always, pics make us all happy!)

Sorry I can't give a specific answer, but from experience I would just say go with the 20° or 30°, even if you're weight-conscience. If you plan on sleeping anywhere near 20°, you'll be glad you have it. I took my 20° out last weekend and it was in the low 40s every night...and I wouldn't call it overkill at all.

Big fan of the 20° here, but I know we like to cut weight so I'm not saying forget the 30° completely. I find the bulk more of a concern than the weight.

I second Markr6 on that bulk is the issue not the weight. Get the 20 you will not giv iy a second thought. My 2 cents!
I have slept in a hammock on every continent from -20 to +128, under direct and indirect fire, from frost to fungus except Antarticia.... But give me time... Thank you Uncle Sugar!

That appears to be a website issue or oversight. They have the 20 specs listed for the 40. You can interpolate by using the Incubator 20 specs and comparing the change between a Phoenix 20 & 40, where they do list specs separately.

The specs on the Incubator 40° page are labeled "Incubator 20°", but the numbers are different from (smaller, as expected) the specs on the Incubator 20° page.

Was it my video by chance? I have an Incubator 40 made with a heavier weight Epsilon 1.5 multicam outer layer that weighs around 19oz. If you go with Argon 67, you'll be a couple ounces lighter and right in line with the website specs. I went with Argon 67 for the inner and outer layers on my Incubator Zero and it was the listed weight.

My Incubator 40 with 2oz over stuff weighs 561 grams which according to Google is 19.78oz

    That's without the stuff sack.

    Hope that helps.

Volume is a concern for me as well. What does the Incubator 20 pack down to in the sack it comes in and in a compression sack?

Here's a comparison of my quilts...no 40° Incubator but it's just a little smaller than the 20° - or about the same as the 40 TQ. They will compress further in a compression sack.
