    2" suspension

Well, I live in FL and State park rules are 2" webbing on hammock and tarp suspension so I might as well start working in this to have in case.

I'm guessing 6' huggers and whoopies are the best way to go (and I have an extra set of whoopies in stock anyway). Dutch has the webbing but what hardware will fit?

Would the descender rings that came with my Switchback work for the hammock? Seems as if the circle would allow for a wider webbing.

I'm guessing that for the tarp I can just pull on loop the ought the other and then run the Ridgeline hardware thru the hanging loop.

    Suggestions? photos? Tx

I just use 2 climbing grade carabineers for ease of use ,that way I don't have to fiddle with pulling the webbing back through the ring but they ring will still work no problem, just with using a carabineer ,it means I can attach it to other types of suspensions a lot easier or just to my hammock ,s continues loop ,

    I'm partially confused.

For your hammock suspension why don't you go with 2" tree huggers with a whoopie sling larks headed onto one end. Then utilize a whoopie hook to attach to a continuous loop on your hammock.

I enjoy being able to keep my whole suspension separate from my hammock now.

Are you saying florida also requires you to use 2" huggers for your tarp too? If so, that's ridiculous, if not, I would use a continuous ridge line from dutch.

Yes, that's the requirement, and yes, it's ridiculous. But it's better than the previous situation, where hammocks were banned from all state parks.

I don't make 2 inch hardware because it uses so much Titanium the weight saving over a biner diminishes while the cost sky rockets.

You could probably make dutch clips work by folding the ends of the straps lengthwise before stitching the loops. The straps only have to be 2" wide at the tree.

Now that Gary from readystrap has gone out of buisness Dutch may want to start offering a 2 to 1 strap that everyones Dutchware will still work with,, like you said , the strap need only to be 2 inches at the tree..something like this but with 2 inch seat belt webbing and 1 inch tree straps..
