Well I went with a couple Hennessey Hammocks!!!!

So my daughter and I are going to start hiking the Finger Lakes trail this March the way we have it pegged, it will be right around 60 days of hiking just for the main trail. I contacted a few different hammock companies and weighed my options and because of the fact of being a little tight on funds and the fact that a great guy at Hennessy (James Hennesey) cut me a sweet deal I was able to get two hammock/tarp set ups for less then 1 WBBB and tarp I ended up going with a 120" Expedition Asym Zip and Monsoon Tarp for the kiddo figure blast doors a must for her and a 142'' Safari Deluxe Asym Zip with the 10 x 12 hex for myself (figured longer might be better for me) and 2 sets of snakeskins. All said and done just over $250 I plan on doing a thorough review on them once we get our underquilts made up. I had been back and forth between those and the WBBB but figured I can grab one down the road a bit by no means a "gram weenie" setup but i keep the miles down when hiking with the kiddo and honestly I enjoy it more that way (Allows me to pack the T-Bones) Had to share excitement with someone figured you guys would be about only one who would listen lol.

Congratulations! My first was a Hennessey and it's still in the family being used today. My Hennessey was the catalyst for causing my whole family to become hammock campers. I hope it works out as well for your family also.

Now just don't forget to get some good insulation to go with it. We have AHE and WL, but there are many great cottage vendors here with quality products or the For Sale section may hold other deals for you.

Congrats on choosing the HH. I have been so freaking happy with mine and the only problem I have with it is just the fact I don't have trees in my yard to hang more and hard to get the wife to get out to hang with me in the cold.

    You will LOVE them!!!!

I have two Hennessy's and love them. In fact, i have one setup in the backyard right now. I think they're great hammocks and are well thought out. Sounds like you got a great deal too.

I have two and until developing an increased addiction, didn't want anything else. However I think the HH is the gate way to the addiction.... but I love my HHs all the same.

I have 4 HH, expedition, explore and safari and loved them all. My wife has been out three times and she uses the hammock when we visit our son at college(St park 10min) from campus. But we will all warn you that the additions starts now.

The Safari is a nice hammock. Pretty heavy, but super comfortable. You could always exchange the suspension to something lighter and easier to use.
