An Indiana boy wanting to hang in those Indiana nights

    Hello all from Indiana!

    This forum is awesome!

I have been a tent person my whole backpacking experience, but recently decided to change it up. I was looking to go with either hammock camping or with a tent that used trekking poles for support. After reading several posts on here and watching videos on Youtube, mostly Shug, it made my mind up for me: A hanger I shall be!

I see Dutchware and whoopie slings in my very near future.

Thank you to all who contribute to make this forum the wealth of knowledge it is!

Welcome from Indianapolis and Mooresville! Check out the Warbonnet superfly. It's a great hammock fly! And can be set up as a tarp tent using trekking poles too!

Welcome from another in the Hoosier land. I had considered a Henry Shire's TarpTent , and a Zpacks shelter before. They are quality products, but the truth is the ground is just too dang uncomfortable for me.
