Might be cool for a stationary hammock.

Not sure if carry this on the trail. Well........I'd probably carry it. A bit heavy though. I made these for a customers Daughters wedding as decoration. But use only one heart and sew a tree strap loop on it and it'd be a cool stationary mount in place of a factory carabiner.

    Thank you.

Yes. They are actually of the horse of the little girl getting married.

Horseshoeing is what I do for a living so horseshoes are plentiful around my house.

That's nice. I used to do blacksmithing as a hobby. Not so much anymore since I moved into town. I really miss it and
    the song of the anvil.

Impressive. How's the back holding up? Shoeing is a tough gig.

Miguel. Bolt the anvil down tight and get a propane forge and swing away.

Txfly so far so good. Still kinda a newbie at it. Only been going for 17 years now. We'll reevaluate in another 17.

However at 36 I do feel a little more aged.

I have considered doing exactly that although messing around with the coal and maintaining a proper fire is part of what attracts me to it. My actual skills were never that great...it was the process and environment that brought me joy.

Not sure if you've used Coke in the past rather than just coal. If so you'll already know this, but with Coke there is very little smoke and very little smell. I've got a lot of Farrier buddies that live in subdivisions that still forge at home with Coke and heavy anvils to no complaint of the neighbors.
