    Singer 90s / Singer 4411 ??

Hey guys, looking for some advice on a thread injector..

First off, I am a complete newb. I made my first stuff sack yesterday, it actually came out pretty good, I missed a spot on the side seam, but it was my first try. This was my very first time ever touching a thread injector.

Right now, there is a great deal on Amazon for the Singer 90S, but I have been looking at the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty.
Does anyone have experience with either of these machines?

I will eventually want to be able to run nylon webbing (I plan on trying a DIY backpack in the near future), and I am pretty sure the 4411 will be able to do that, but don't know about the 90S.
My wife does lighter weight sewing. She "might" benefit from the advanced stitching features of the 90s, but that is questionable.

So, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

If you're considering the 4411, might as well pick up a 4423 for the better features, and stitches. They're only about $8 more than the 4411 right now. (best deal I found was at NewEgg.com)

I just ordered one to upgrade from my Janome 128, and Aardvark on here currently uses one and sings it's praises. It'll do everything you need for gear making.

I can't comment on the 90S, but it's not a machine I would consider in that price range. I also generally distrust computerized machines, unless I NEED a feature only a computerized machine can provide. So far I haven't needed anything. Gear making is simple. you can get by with straight stitch only, however zig-zag, button hole, and stretch stitches can come in handy.

I bought the Singer 4432 off amazon for $140. It does everything I could want for DIY hammock stuff. We have made several hammocks, 2 Underquilts, 3 tarps and 1 topquilt so far with it and it works great.
My wife retired a much more expensive brother machine for this one. Love the simplicity of it. We hated the digital crap on the brother. Just changing a stitch was a PITA on the brother and just a dial change on the Singer. My only gripe is the lever that threads the needle doesn't alway line up with the hole in the needle, but that is a minor problem.
