Spent the past weekend in the Cascades with a couple friends. It was sunny and warm the entire trip. I had my DIY heavy duty dual layer hammock, walmart foam pad, synthetic 30*f mummy bag and a Yukon Outfitters tarp. DIY whoopies for suspension with 20' tree straps because we have big trees. Didn't need them this trip, though.
Now that is thinking outside the box. Love it!

The winch setup looks like it belongs in the thread pgibson started about not going to ground. I like it!

I have been wanting to put a wench on our Jeep Wrangler but never thought of using it for a ridge line/suspension. Great idea.
