    Compression

I'm gearing up for a 3 nighter here in the next few weeks in Northern CO. I already use a dry bag/compression sack for my topquilt and underquilt, but was wondering what you fine folks think of putting the Hennessey hammock and typhoon tarp in a compression sack. I've done a dry run and am blown away at how much space it saves. What do you think? Do you compress your hammocks?

cant speak for the HH, but I emailed Warbonnet on my XLC and was told its perfectly fine to compress it for trips. I say go for it. (I would not store it that way though)

I personally wouldn't ever put my tarp with my quilts and hammock. I'd rather the quilts and hammock stay dry.

I've stored my HH and tarp together in the same stuffsack without any issues. However, my hammock is in snakeskins so that if I pack my tarp in there when it's wet, my hammock will remain dry. I had surgery last year and my hammock and tarp remained packed for a few months due to not being able to get into the wilderness during that time. Once I was back in the woods, they performed just as well as when they had been brand new.

Awesome! Thank you! I also keep my hammock and tarp in snakeskins. I keep my quilts totally separate. I'd be using two different compression sacks, I could have made that a little more clear.
