Something to help you stay cool.

Well it's apparent summer is coming fast in the south, and as usual I find I'm not liking the heat when I sleep. But, I have found something to help keep it tolerable to comfortable when I'm all zipped up in my hammock , because let's face it, who's going to hang without a bug net from April on?
I use the Travelon Personal Fan , I hang it on a small carabiner and hook it to my ridgeline. It's foldable, has 3 speeds, has plastic blades (so it won't cut you), provides cool air pointed where you want, and provides white noise to cover up those uumm snoring noises in the woods . I get mine from Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Travelon-Speed.../dp/B0050JBUUK . It uses batteries, and mine last 3-4 nights usually. I will say that being female I prefer to use 2, one pointed down on my head and one pointed over my body. When they are on the carabiner it's very easy to slide them up and down to the spot you need them. Happy hanging, stay cool.

Those of us that went to the Fatt Butt hang have put small orders in for preparation of the Smoke Butt and Fall Sprawl hangs.

I also need to order the badger anti bug balm. I been using a different fan that uses two D batteries. Had it for a year now and still on the original batteries. Don't take it on every hang though.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

KingsFord said you had one, what kind? How big is it? You know, in waffle measurement
Get her the Badger anti bug balm. She likes it. She needs it. Get the Rose Geranium oil too. Keeps ticks off humans as well as dogs.
