ENO ProFly XL v. ProFly Sil for DeluxeDouble Hammock

Looking for pros and cons of ENO ProFly XL rain tarp v. ProFly Sil rain tarp for my ENO DeluxeDouble Hammock. I like backpacking and hiking, so I'm looking for good weight, but also need the wingspan to keep dry. Is the ProFly Sil wide enough to keep me (and possibly another adult) dry? I'm liking the specs on it more, especially that it is about half the weight of the XL. Thanks for the help!

You'll be hard pressed to keep yourself dry with the ProFly Sil, well enough another adult, since it's only 6' 4" wide. I'd recommend avoiding ENO tarps altogether. They're not a very good value, not very popular among HF members, and have very poor resale value. Look into some of the cottage vendors like Warbonnet, Wilderness Logics, etc. You could get one of the most popular tarps, a silnylon Warbonnet Superfly, for $130, or $10 more than the ENO ProFly sil.

Yep, not a terrible product mind you, but typically you're getting less for a lot more $$. Heavier material, and less of it, is supposed to be a lot less expensive. And of course, it is, but you don't see that with the ENO retail markup. The vendors here don't have that same middle-man markup.

    A number of choices:
    Warbonnet Outdoors
    Arrowhead Equipment
    Wilderness Logics
    Simply Light Designs

among others, but that should get you started.

I'm not an ENO hater but as mentioned, other, better options available.
