excuse my stupidity, but being a noob and everything and going headfirst into all of this, what purpose is this supposed to serve? is this supposed to replace a tarp? if so, wouldn't the ends of the hammock get wet?
So full of doubt, you are, young padawan. The cover serves to helps to conserve body heat and keep you warmer in the hammock, much like a hammock sock does. ACTUALLY I thought the grey would go nicely with the purple winter underquilt I'm getting. No stealthy colors here! And besides, haven't you heard that grey IS the new camo when it comes to hammocks . . .
