Paul made me a custom sized New River to use as a full length quilt for my Ridgerunner. I've only had it down to 37 degrees but I was very, very comfortable. Put it on and forget it.

+1 on the new river long. It is one quality piece of gear. Paul is awesome to deal with.
Had mine to 20 degrees. No problems.

Recently got my New River in the mail. What are you folks using as your top quilts? I am hoping that I can pick up a top quilt from ahe in the next year but in the meantime I need a more affordable solution. For testing I am thinking of just going to sleep with a couple options ready outside of my hammock and if I get cold I will put on another layer. I am thinking of starting with a 55 rei travel sack, then adding a sleeping bag liner, then a light weight synthetic bag followed by a 0 degree bag.
I do have an AHE tq, but have used a sleeping bag as tq numerous times (mostly before I got the tq). In colder weather I telescope a sleeping bag over my Owyhee.Originally Posted by SLCpod
Since I live in TX and do a lot of spring/summer hanging, I use a fleece blanket or my sleeping bag liner since lows are going to start climbing up to the 70s+. When the colder weather starts to pick back up, I go with my 20* down sleeping bag.
