Right lay is legs/feet to the right (and head left)

Left lay is legs/feet to the left (head to right)

MOST folks prefer a right lay. But if not, most vendors will do a left lay for you.

For me, when i first got into a hammock, automatically I always went to a left lay...but when I ordered my XLC I got a standard right lay and the transition was seamless. YMMV.

I sleep mostly on my right side and find my left lay hammock comfortable. I like my head to face the outside with my feet/legs to the left. The hammock hugs my back this way very nicely. I also find it very helpful to put something between my knees when laying this way, to take some pressure off my low back.
