Suggestions for a more versitile suspension for close or far mount points

I have an 11ft ft hammock the has continuous loops and I'm using Whoopie hooks connected to my trees straps.
I find trees about 13ft apart are as close as I can use when using the Whoopie hooks, any closer and I'm dropping the Whoopies altogether and tying the tree straps to the continuous loops with a slippery sheet bend. I find it kind of a pain to disconnect the whoopies, but I like the speed of the whoopies when the tress are 14' or more.
Is there a suspension system that is more versatile that can handle close trees as well?

Maybe I'm just being whiney, if so tell me to shut up.

If you don't mind a small increase in weight and bulk an all strap suspension with cinch buckles is a good option. Lots of adjustability and a shorter minumum suspension length without removing anything. Depending on how short your continuous loops are you can get fairly close to the tree.

I suppose you could also put a toggle on your straps, to hang the continuous loops from. A strap-only setup should have great adjustability, at the expense of strap bulk if you need to suspend between long distances. Speed hooks / hammock anchors should give you a setup similar to whoopie hooks in that it'll hook onto your continuous loop, but instead of a whoopie sling they suspend off simple rope, so you can make the distance there practically zero, instead of having the bury length of the whoopie as a minimum. I also have adutchable clibs on my tree straps - I figure the ability to adjust will be handy if I need to hang close from small trees.

Straps and triangles. Can hang an 11' hammock on trees that are 10' apart.

Add a adutchable clip so you can adjust your strap to the tree size. This way you wont have excess between the tree and whoopie.

Also, wrap the continuous loop around the hammock multiple times to take up slack, if any.

I've always been able to hang between tree's 11ft apart - which is the length of my tarp ridgeline.

i just use 15 foot straps on each side and the slippery sheet bend all the time. you dont have to deal with a lot extra hard ware that way. its just 3 pieces, 2 straps and a hammock. the slippery sheet bend is about as simple as it gets as far as knots go for setting up and with 1 yank the knot is undone and ready to be packed up.

I was having that issue all the time. I switched to cinch buckles. It is def heavier and bulkier
    I'd rather be hanging.

I'm a whoopie hook suspension fan. Any solution that is heavier or bulkier or permanently attached to the hammock is a no-go for me. If worst comes to worst, I will find a toggle, make a marlin spike hitch, and hang the continuous loop from there.

I've never had an issue because I'm not necessarily looking for versatility. My tarp has an 11-ft ridgeline and I usually like at least 12 ft. between trees. If trees are far apart, or particularly large in diameter, I have a few continuous loops to extend the suspension/tree straps.

You can try the sliding ring suspension (SRS) or the single ring suspension that is in the stickies.

I have used this method a few times now and really like it. I was previously using amsteel chainlinks off the end when the whoopies were too long. I'm liking this way more. I had so much extra amsteel with the doubled adjustable length on the whoopie, chainlinks off the hammock for when it was too short, dog bones to extend tree straps when necessary...

Now I just use a single length of amsteel tied to a 1" strap and tie off on the ring where required. If its a super close hang just go strap to ring with a slippery half hitch. I have to tie a simple knot now, but this system has eliminated so many other annoyances.
