Well, there's three faces I recognize. Great video, guys, to top off a great trip. I didn't realize you were doing a time lapse off the Albert tower, pretty cool. You've to got love shorts at the bottom of Standing Indian and a 25 mph cold wind @5500' a half hour later..BOO CHILLY! I was curious as to whether the uphill flowing waterfall would make the cut. Sometimes what you see with the naked eye just can't be captured on film. I truly enjoyed this trip, beautiful scenery, good weather and great companions! Thanks again for the memories.

Another fine work of video trail reporting! Got to admit that is the most color coordinated hiking partner you have there! I got tickled in that's shot of her going up the trail with her sandals on the back of her pack taking as many steps on their own as she was! Great trip, thanks for sharing it with us!

It was a good trip Firebird. Hard to forget the COLD air blowing on the hike up Standing Indian.
I was hoping the shot with the uphill flowing waterfall had turned out. The other video camera would have been just the ticket, but I found out why the battery died on that. I had 90 minutes of footage from inside my backpack
The timelapse turned out pretty good for a first attempt. The camera moved part way thru, otherwise I was happy with it. 12 minutes of waiting for 6 seconds of video

She is definitely more color coordinated than I am! Thanks for watching Hawk-eye.

Another great video. Thanks for sharing with us. Now replace that 88 hat with an 11, 18, 19 or 20.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Looks like it was a great trip. I'm going to start taking my boys out with me, get them into hiking/backpacking/hanging. It's awesome to see your daughter enjoying it, not many girls her age think of this as fun!

TallPaul, that is some fantastic country around Standing Indian, thanks for some warm memories.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
