    When we go to the Boundary Waters we paddle hard the first day to get in fairly deep, set up camp and hang there for 4-5 days taking day trips to fish and explore. Second to last day, pack up and paddle 3/4 the way back and set up another camp. Then last day it's a quick paddle out.

    The plastic figure 9s are surprisingly strong. I started with a figure 9 on a large, heavy guide gear tarp where it held in all weather conditions for several years before finally collapsing under the weight of over a foot of heavy wet snow.
