Netty vs Darien vs Trail Lair

Is there any main difference between these models? I've been interested in an integrated bug net hammock, and have narrowed my options down to these three

No matter which of the three you pick, you'll get a fantastic piece of gear. If I were making the choice, I'd go for the trail lair just because I've ordered two things from SLD already and Jared was fantastic to work with.

I'd personally go for the netty. I've seen the quality of the Mecks work.

Jared at SLD. I ordered TL but wanted pad opening after receiving it . He made another next day and mailed it to me told me to keep one I wanted and mail other one back. I have purchased a lot of gear from him. He is great to do business with. If you have idea run it by him. BigRed77

Just to keep it simple for you.

All Dream Hammocks are made by Smurfs. Their little fingers and tiny stitches are nothing short of enchanting.

Enough of all that. You'll be fine with any and or all of the above choices.

HF members are getting cagier and cagier. Low post count. DIY Sgt Rock Ghost for first hammock. Sensible well researched choices listed.

Well done. Expect many a night of restful hanging.

I don't know anything about the Trail Lair hammock. But what I do know is that the Netty has a net that will stuff into a sack on the end of the hammock. I just got one and think it's very well made. The Darien only has a zip on one side and just flips over to the other side when unzipped. The Netty has zips on both sides and essentially will come off and stuff into a sack while still attached to the hammock. Hope this helps.

As I said I only have the Netty. What I know about the Darien is info I gleaned from their website. It's the reason I chose the Netty.

Looks like from the SLD website their hammock gives you the option to go either way.

For the record, the Mecks were very pleasant to deal with.

I would go with the Darien. You won't find more options from any other vendor. And the netty is amazingly similar to dream hammocks products and came out after they did...ironic? Hmmmm....Ive heard a lot of good things about SLD as well..
