Hello, I found this site while looking for some ideas for my future hiking/camping trips.
I've been hiking the River To River Trail in southern IL for the last few years, a group of friends and I make an annual excursion to the Shawnee National Forrest and hike the trail for a few days and couple nights at a time. Like most people I'm sure, I started out with a pack that was way to heavy and learned the hard way that every pound counts. I've been in a hammock on every trip and gone from a cheapy netting hammock to my current hammock a Vietnam era jungle hammock, that I think is very comfy. I've been thinking about making a top-quilt for a while, then I found the plans for the Ghost hammock and with the recent birthday present of a brand new Singer 7258 from my wife I decided on making a hammock first, then a quilt later on after my sewing machine skills improve.
Then I started digging around the forums and I am more impressed with every post I read, so, I figured I'd stick around.
