Did some gear testing of my new superfly (with wilderness logics pole mod), dutch bling, and UGQ flightjacket 20 last night. It was really windy so no porch mode.

UQ was a Jarbidge kept me toasty warm.

    Btw great initiative Paul.

Here are my 2 "I will not go to ground" experiences. First is my turtle dog stand...too bad you can't see the hammock, but it was blowing light rain so I had things pitched down tight and I had to keep it staked down to prevent blow over.

And my YATS that I set up for my son and the other hammockers in my troop.

I'll take my hammock over a colman air mattress any day.

This isn't a contest entry I'm just sharing my photo.

A perfect site for tents but I had to hang off of the shelter. Surprisingly difficult to find space to hang in NZ as the vegetation is really thick, this was last week in the Waitakere's on new Zealands West coast

Another UK campsite with boring flat grass everywhere so the landy got used as a surrogate tree

    Owyhee Rocks

I posted to Google+ but thought I'd share here too. This was in the Owyhees where trees are slim pickings. Scouts wanted to check out the hieroglyphs so I had to accomodate but was not about to "lower" my standards.
