    ATAC-FG PU tarp LSoH

Had to make one more for a friend in Ontario. He's always wanted a camo tarp in something different than woodland. Picked up some of the ATAC-FG PU coated nylon from RSBTR and went to work.

Easiest fabric to make a tarp from. It wasn't as thick as I thought it might be from handling older PU coated material. I had the main ridgeline seam and edges hemmed and done in 1.5 hours. Just need to put the tieouts on it and make a stuff sack. I'll make tarps from this stuff any day. Super nice to work with. The camo pattern has really grown on me too. I can see how it would be effective.

I'll take some pictures of it hanging as well when I'm done.

ATACS (both FG and AU) are in my top 3 of camo patterns (multicam being the other). Not sure which is my favorite of the 3, they all bring something different to the table.

That's nice James. First tarp I've seen in the FG. I could see it being easy to sew though as it's pretty stiff. What's the width between ground tie-outs btw?

    ATAC-FG PU tarp LSoH

I took 20" off the ends. 11' RL, and one in between. Already on its way to a new home.

    Thumbs up

P_20150412_070659_HDR.jpg Here is the tarp out on its first trip. I used my hiking pole to give me a lil more head room during the day, I didnt want to go to full porch mode Great tarp had lots of compliments on it, an amazing job & its a top shelf tarp!

P_20150412_072628_HDR.jpg This is my LSoH gear which hung under it. I love my ENO single nest but this 10.5' Flecktarn hammock w/ CS5 quilt set was AMAZING.... The only time I woke up was for coyotes howling in the distance and a great horned owl hooting away just as it was breaking daylight in the pines near me.

I took the CS5 quilt set (UQ/TQ/UQP) down to a breezy -4C (25F) wearing only a hoody and wind breaker, normal cargo pants, and work socks to bed. With the wind I'm sure it felt a few degrees cooler, but no cold spots and the UQP I think helped with that too, with wind gusts up to 60km/h (37 mph). it did its job and blocked the breeze.

Thanks Firesong for a great tarp, hammock and quilt set.
