    Genuine Polyester Webbing?

At the moment I'm on the lookout for polyester webbing and I came across a seller on ebay that has a pretty decent price. I was just wondering, is there a way to tell if the product is genuine polyester instead of nylon? I've even seen one seller describe their webbing as Nylon/Polyester.
This is the ebay link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Polyester-...item27eb81b7e9
    Thanks

No way to know for sure till it's in hand. Then you could do a search here for the "burn test" Poly and Nylon do different things and smell a bit different when burned. And sure there are blends made out there...still not what you want for hammock suspension though.

Buy from one of HF's trustworthy cottage vendors, like Paul or Dutch. They sell genuine polyester webbing that is lighter than you will find through most other sources. And I think Dutch's price may be a bit lower than that ebay seller.

Being that the OP is in Dublin, international shipping (cost and time) and customs may be determining factors in looking for a UK source.

I got some decent stuff on ebay a while ago. That seller doesn't have anything on ebay now though. http://www.ribbons.co.uk/ is their website, it may be worth emailing them to see if they have any available. I've been using webbing from Dutchware recently and it is better; tighter weave, a little lighter and super easy to sew. Not as strong though.
