Need suggestions. Was gonna make my own tarp was thinking of a 12' X 10'

or bigger. Doubt I carry it very far.

Looked into all the stuff needed and heard Shug say he made one but that was enough as plenty of tarp companies out there.

Saw the thread on the Superfly and feel like that might be it. Only saving a few bucks to make your own but taking away your time to do it. That eats into your Lollygagging time.

I have had recs for Wilderness Logistics and Arrowhead Equip but didnt see a tarp on their sites that looked like it would be big enough

I bought the Dutch Argon hammock in the 11 foot size.

Rain protection is what I am after right now as I dont expect to be camping below 30 degrees

Depending on your sewing skills you may be better off buying one. There is always a risk with DIY that you make a mistake and have to spend more time on it or worse. The Wilderness Logics Old Man Winter tarp is big enough for an 11 foot hammock. Underground Quilts also make great tarps.

The arrowhead equipment toxaway tarp should be more than enough coverage with a 12 foot ridgeline and 10 ft wide

FWIW, don't forget that your 11' hammock is only a little over 9' long end to end when you're laying in it so it doesn't necessarily take a 12' tarp to protect it.

Thanks all. I tend to over analyze some of this stuff. Have a nice machine but I dont sew myself so think I'll start with stuff sacks or something like that.

Will search the board for reviews on the Tarps yall suggested
