I plan on paddling solo. My two +'s will be paddling together.
We also will be renting a canoe from the portage store.

The trip is getting so close I can smell it.

I won't of course jinx the trip by publishing a weather forecast (although I did for the fall trip and that turned out ok). Suffice it to say that there is a 14 day outlook for the area available if anyone's curious.

After last fall's trip, I'm ready to call you Punxsutawney Greg! Prognosticate away!

Hi guys, this time next week I'll be chomping at the bit, running through my pretrip honey-do list and wondering if I'll have another foot injury.

Do we want to meet at the Canoe lake ranger office at 9am Friday morning? Sometimes we've met up for breakfast on the way, but in an effort to maximize sleep time, I'm ok with grabbing a bite to eat on the road and hitting the water a little earlier.

Important note: We have 10 people coming in Friday (Chard, Ggreaves/Entropy, Jimmay/Tom, Iguana, Komodo/Newt, Distortedaxis/Jahn-Teller). That means if everyone shows, we'll need an additional permit for the Friday night. Keg/Cask will join us on Saturday withtheir own permit.

Keg, any chance you can extend your permit to include Friday? Is anyone even allowed to go on your permit without you being there? So many questions.

I will volunteer to stay on the second campsite. I really enjoyed my night paddles back across the lake in the fall. Takes some strain off the kybo too. Hopefully I can get one not too far away. Ken, can you determine if we can change the permit to my name? If not, I'll book it and you can cancel?

Is there room for one more? I'm in for Friday to Sunday (2 nights) and can get my own permit if need be.
