Probably easier for you just to book your own. Just checked the Ontario parks site and there are still a dozen unbooked sites on McIntosh.

If the site was changed to your name and extended one night I would have difficulty getting a parking pass on Saturday.

P.s. as of the 4th Algonquin is officially ice free

Friends of a friend were in northern Algonquin over the weekend and they said that the blackflies were out in force.

I can confirm. Was out at the east end of Algonquin last weekend and I'm still itching like crazy. They are relentless this spring.

Anyways, looks like I'm good to go in with the Friday crew. Still unsure if heading back Sunday or Monday, though..

Canoe has been on the car since last weekend! Can't wait!
