    Zeppelin primary suspension too short?

I just put my new Zeppelin on my Traveler XL and it would appear that my primary suspension is too short. I've got it adjusted all the way out and it is pulling the sides in so tight that I can feel it squeezing on my head and shoulders. Is this how it's supposed to fit, or should I run some new 1/8th shock cord to give it a little more slack? For a quick test I added some 9" continuous loops between the s-biner and the whipped end of the hammock and it seemed to fit a little better, yet still allowed the under quilt to snug up to my backside.

I'd email Paul, he always responds quickly ime. I've never felt squeezed in my zeppelin although it was quite tight. There might have been a muck up and someone just cut the bungee a little too short, easily done and I'm sure it'll get sorted in short order whatever the issue is.

I felt the same way in my 11 ft dream hammock until I added additional shock cord.

Our primary suspension is all 100% elongation 1/8" Shock Cord, the cut is 16' which provides for 8' roughly each side. Fully stretched out it it capable of 15-16'. On an 11' hammock, which has a typical length roughly 15-20% shorter than the true 11' due to droop, the stock suspension will work just fine. When the shock cord is new it is tight, just like a new rubber band. With time and use it will relax and become more pliable.

When I first hang my UQ on our hammocks the goal is for the suspension to pull the quilt up quite high. It needs to do this to provide for a tight fit to the bottom of the hammock reducing the dreaded cold butt syndrome. You are welcome to add extenders to the suspension if you would prefer a looser fitting quilt but this may result in some gaping....

Ok thanks for getting back to me Paul. Maybe I'll just hang in it a few more times and see what happens.
