    Pillow who would have though?

So I finnaly re-lagged my eye bolt in the wall after it worked loose From the kids swinging in the hammock.. Don't worry they are fine. I was in it when it let go. Luckily only 6inch drop.

So I'm reanchored and have finally had the chance to play around with my new she quilts.. Definitely take some fiddling on a Warbonnet. But the new river fits a standard gathered end fine.

So I slept in it last night in the BB. And I used a slim flat pillow off the couch.

And what a difference it made!

Up till now I'd only used a small inflatable pillow. Totally not worth it..

So now I'm in the market for a camp pillow.. I just shaved about 9 oz off my setup so I can afford the weight for the comfort ( that's why we hammock right?)

Right now thinking an AHE bear pillow.. Are there others out there? Maybe down.. Larger than no smaller than 7x9 and no loftier than 3inches.

I'm scanning the vendors now but there's so many !

    Anyone else use a pillow?

I love my AHE bear pillow. Gives get support, perfect size and I love the bungee with clip so you don't lose your pillow getting in or out.

Correction: I have the cub not the bear* smaller one worked perfect for me.

The bungee is a big seller for me as well... I don't think the cub is big enough for my noggi. So I was looking at the bear as well

I tried larger pillows and found I only really need something under my neck (the upward slope of the hammock by my head acts to lift my head itself to the correct comfortable angle). I went with the smaller Cub pillow from Arrowhead.

I use a cocoon ultralight neck pillow positioned with the U facing up. That way I have neck support and side support while the back of my head still rests on the hammock.

I've used full size pillows, full-size down pillows, inflatable pillows, a jacket that stuffed itself into its own pocket to make a pillow and I finally settled on stuffing a puffer jacket into my jarbidge stuff sack. It's plenty comfy and costs nothing in extra weight.
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.

I found a cub- sized pillow to be too small. No support for my head when rolled to the side.

I made a pillow 8" x 15" fleece on one side Argon67 on the other. Super comfy, came in at 5oz exactly. I think I have enough material left to make you one (fleece being the limiting factor, if you don't mind Argon both sides I def have enough). PM me and we can work out the details if interested.
