I like mine, an overfilled 40* to a 30* rating. VERY comfortable!

    Are these hammocks modular?
I mean if the UQ is permanently attached it wouldn't be a very flexible system...
    Seem pretty nice otherwise.

You can move the underquilt to the side and use it without or just loosen the adjustments and let it hang low below your hammock/ back. I have tried every hammock available, when I got this I sold all my others. What works for me might not be right for other.

The hammocks are basically 4 integrated pieces and suspension:

    1.) Hammock
    2.) Underquilt protector
    3.) Underquilt
    4.) Bishop bag

For the price it is hard to beat what your getting unless your a wiz sewing and have a lot of spare time.

Also the way it is constructed you end up getting a gear storage compartment at each end. Due to the UQ being integrated it cuts out wind from coming in stealing your warmth. The ridgeline organizer, I have been trying to break by over loading it up to 5 pounds, but it is still holding gear. Alex has come out to a couple of the hangs I have hosted and he brought a few extra rigs for others to use, sometimes making multiple trips back to the car. Everyone that has used one for a weekend has bought one. I even picked up a Boone 20 after the first hang. So far I have had it out in the snow, sleet, and rain(2days straight) with lows ranging from 20 to 46. Every time I have been toasty and the wind has never been an issue. The tree straps that are included are the best I have ever received when buying a hammock that included tree straps.

I can't say enough about sheltowee hammocks. Alex's customer service and product quality are AMAZING!! He let my wife use his product and she was sold. Having the uq integrated with the hammock makes set up and take down dummy proof.
