Question Tie outs for my old man winter

So to go with the old man winter I just ordered from Dutch ( its from Santa though) I got 50' of reflect it and 50' of reflective shock cord. I figured that since it has 6 side tie outs, 4 door tie outs and the 4 panel pulls and doesn't come with any, this should be more than enough right? I was planing on using the reflect it on all the tie outs and adding some shock cord tensioners and using shock cord and reflect it on the panel pulls. For the panel pulls I'm going to use one piece of shock cord on each side of the tarp, each end tied to a panel pull and then a piece of reflect it from the middle of that to my stake. On the tie outs, just a piece of reflect it from the tarp to the stake, with a 1' piece of shock cord as a tensioner. How long should my tie outs be?Am I doing this right or should I do it another way? Both of the other tarps I've had came with tie outs, but I did add tensioners to my Snugpak tarp and they worked great. The typhoon used shock cord for the tie outs. What say you?

It sounds like a plan. There's no right or wrong way, just which way works for you.

Is it Silnylon or Silpoly? I ask because that will determine how much it will stretch after you hang it. That's typically why people use shock cord tensioners on their tarps.

For stake out lines- 6-8' is what I typically do. 6' on one side and 8' on the other for porch mode.

I didn't see you mention your ridge-line, what are you doing there?

Check out backpackermn's latest video on tarp management if you haven't already- lots of good info there.

Have fun with your new tarp!

Thanks much johnspenn. For my RL I ordered the Dutch CRL in yellow zing it w/ lash it soft shackles plus bing. The tarp is 1.2 silnylon w/ 132" RL. I'll check the vid out now.
