    finally bought a tarp...question

So after debating for several months, I finally pulled the trigger on a wilderness logics old man winter for my first nice tarp. Does anyone know if I should seam seal this or just give a try as is. I've always used sealer on my tents.

My guess is yes, since their website doesn't address it directly, and it looks like the use a flat felled seam. If they do seam seal it you should be able to see it. Email them and ask.

Make sure you use Silnet or Permatex flowable silicone for seam sealing.

When I bought my big daddy from them I had the same question so I emailed marty and he said with the type of seam they do they have had no issues without seam sealing. I've had no problems as of yet and I didn't seam seal.

I've used my OMW on about 20 rainy trips with no seam seal and no leaks. WL has a magical ridge seam.
    ( I use a CRL with tarp over )

sweet! Off to install some zig it and tarp flies. I was thinking of 10-12 feet on the ends for the ridge line then about 4 ft for the corners.
