Anybody know of some good lesser known camping spots, or even good backpacking trails for hammocking? wanna do a possible a day packing trip with some friends.
If possible preferably within about 2 hours of SLO, unless it is really good. I am not very familiar with backpacking in this area as I am originally from WA.

Check out Big Sur. Lots o' good trails!
Check out mills creek trail .... right off HWY 1 perfect for an easy overnight beautiful huge redwoods and ferns the whole trail follows a little creek so water isn't a problem. trail head is just past ragged point you take the lake nacimiento (think i spelled that wrong) road.
