    VIDEO: Ricketts Glenn winter hike

I took a good dayhike with a great group of people the other day to Ricketts Glenn state park in PA. I have done the falls trail plenty in warmer months but this is the first time I have done it in the winter. The frozen waterfalls and steep frozen walls were a beautiful site to see. The hike was challenging, the park office requires you to have at least microspikes and an ice axe to go on the falls trail. Otherwise the trail is closed in the winter months.

Here is a short video of the trip, I hope you enjoy!

Love it. Was up there doing the Cherry Run trail back in February and saw a group coming up from the falls trail with ice axes. Wished I could have gone down there but no such gear for me so I was stuck choking on snowmobile exhaust on Cherry. What camera are you using to shoot your video?

It was interesting to watch the videos of the falls in summer to see how different the area and falls looked.

Sweet! We camped and hiked Ricketts a couple summers ago. What an amazing, beautiful place. Your video makes it look absolutely magical in it's frozen winter robes. Thanks so much for sharing!

If you ever get a chance to hike it in the winter I highly recommend it! On this video I used my Gopro Hero 3+ silver, I love the wide angle lens. Thanks for watching!
