Thumbs up Travelers Rest, SC newbie hanger

New here! I never thought about getting a hammock until I won a Kammok Roo w/python straps in a contest. Now that I've 'hung out' a few times, I'm hooked! My wife wants to hang now too, so I picked up an ENO w/ atlas straps for her as well. Looking for some tips and tricks on here. I enjoy hiking here in upstate SC and WNC and would love to try hammock camping. May need a bug net and tarp down the road, but I know the Kammok ones are pricey. May need advice on budget versions. Looking forward to hangin with y'all!

Most bugnets are going cost 60 to 70 bucks. Dutch has one for 50. If you decide that you really like sleeping in a hammock, I would consider trading up to something else, like a Dutch Argon hammock or a BIAS and swapping out those python straps for tree huggers and whoopie slings.
Always last to the camp site.

We host 4 major event hangs a year and several smaller ones, as well. Check us out on Facebook by clicking the link in my signature. Hope you can join us at the next hang.

I'm pretty happy with the Kammok so far, but would be interested in some different suspension. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to look into all that.
