Good job spotting the really nerdiest of references. The other is of course based on the maker and the Admiral being squid-like, also the color of the tarp sort matches its namesake. I plan on calling my 11' argon hammock from Dutch the Mon Calamari Snoozer.

483 grams, that however is not the bare naked tarp. It's including the stuffsack/bishop bag, paracord guylines 2x12' and 4x6' and 4 aluminium tent pegs. Unfortunately i that's the only number I have right now.

It sure did, I'm really happy I took your advice. Again, thanks!

Thank you, I will try to do a writeup of each trip I make, hopefully there will be more than one this year.

You might want to come to the Smoked Butt Hang in May--I believe that there may be three of his tarps there and maybe even the man himself.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I have a couple tarps that Squidbilly custom made for me and they are AWESOME,, his work is second to none when it comes to tarp building.

I can tell you he does a great tarp. We have 3 made by him. If you can come out to the Smoke Butt hang you can see afew of his tarps, and there will be one of his winter tarps on the raffle table.
