    Atwood Micro Cord??

The old reflective cord on my tarps is starting to shows its' age so I'm in the market for something different. I came across this 1.18mm cord searching around ebay and tracked it down to the Atwood Rope site. The details rate the cord at 100lbs break strength and it's UV/rot resistant polyester. It's just a little smaller than I would like but I bit the bullet and ordered a couple of rolls.

Anybody else have any experience with this stuff? The reflective version was twice the price and half the weight rating so I passed. The kevlar version looked pretty interesting too.

I used this a few years back for prusiks on larger cordage.

Once I discovered I could use mason line for half the price, I switched.

It is nice and stiff so if you're using it for your primary cordage, it should work nicely.

Nice...that's what I'm looking for. I'm hoping the high-vis yellow and orange will make some nice non-reflective guy lines.

I tried mason line (both braided and twisted) a while back and didn't like it. The braided stuff I got was so soft that it "fuzzed" after only light use. After that point every piece of leaf litter and twig tried to stick and it made a huge mess.

    Atwood Micro Cord??

    I agree.

Mason line for primary line tangles too easily and is too fragile.

You shouldn't have those issues with this cord.

Let us know how it works out.

I bought some Atwood micro cord a few month ago and i like it better than mason line for prusiks. I bought some lawson reflective line at the same time and prefer that for my guylines because its is a bit thicker and seems to be better quality.
