Excellent. I have a lot of the same gear as you and it's wonderful to hear that it performed so well; specifically the JRB Greylock UQ and the HG 11' tarp w/doors. I also like the idea of keeping the TQ/UQ/Hammock all connected and in the same stuff sack. I think I'll try that out on my next overnight. Thanks for taking the time to put out this information!

Great report. I agree with Gravity some really good information. I also will think differently about tarp skins. The idea of keeping your top quilt in the hammock, brilliant.

Congratulations! And, thanks for the very useful information. Your write up did answer a lot of my questions regarding hammock gear for a long AT hike. Very glad you posted this.

Wonderful write-up! I'd like to post a link to this on Whiteblaze if you haven't posted anything on there already?

Thank you very much for the amount of detail in your report. I learned a heck of a lot just reading it, and I'm sure to learn more putting some of it into practice.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you liked it. I will eventually put together a series of trip reports for you guys. I haven't gotten around to it because I haven't stopped traveling since I started the A.T.(I know, rough problem to have.) Since the A.T. I spent 2 weeks in Hawaii, including a 3 day hammocking backpacking trip of the Kalalau Trail. I am currently in Australia, Ive been here since December and on the 16th I'll fly to Bangkok, Thailand to stay in Southeast Asia until May. I'd say I'm in a bit of a mid 20's see the world crisis.

Best part is that I typed most of this report up while relaxing in a hammock cafe. I'll put together a post on that place shortly.

Thanks so much Iron Cheeks for the really thoughtful write up. You have a great sense of the essential points to write about for this audience but I could tell that you were just scratching the surface. I'll look forward to your future offerings.
