Winter weekend in Daniel Boone National Forest

Three of us went for a short weekend trip to Daniel Boone National Forest. We hiked just over six miles to our base camp. Friday night was in the teens, but saturday was sunny and warm. The location was amazing.

The hike in was tough. Full Winter packs, a bit over six miles in up and down hills and in the dark (started after midnight)! We had good viability with the snow, headlamps, etc. By the time we got to camp we were ready to hit the hammocks.

Some of us had fuller winter packs than others. And by us, I don't mean me.
