    Triangle Thingies

Can you chime in with your experience while using these? I'm thinking they might just be the ticket for me, I was going to grab a set last year before our trip but went another route and that didn't work out the way I had intended.

I fee like if I get my suspension too tight it wants to slide out of whack easier, if that makes sense. Like my feet and opposing shoulder fight against each other and make it difficult to keep everything covered.

I am thinking for $20 it's worth the gamble either way, was just looking for some experiences with then. Pros/cons

I bought a couple new river UQ's and picked up the Triangle Thingies at the same time, installed the UQ's on my Dutch DL hammocks and they worked really well.

IMO, the HG quilt suspensions don't really need triangle thingies - and subsequently, don't benefit much from their use. I do use the TT on my JRB quilts with good results.

I love my triangle thingies. I got them for my PLUQ originally to keep the suspension lines from running in a way that was uncomfortably pressing on my head, and I still use them with my Jarbidge.
Highly recommend them. I actually need to order a second set to go keep with my PLUQ now that it is my "loaner quilt".

    +1 on this.

Give them a try. I use them with my 3/4 length UQs. I find that I don't need them on a 7/8 or FL UQ.

Pros: They probably work really well. (I haven't used them but don't see why they wouldn't work great)

Cons: There are cheaper alternatives out there that work too. I used to just run a short piece of shock cord from corner to corner (on the same end of the uq) over the hammock ridgeline and that worked well. There are also things like the tato quilt hooks that work well and are pretty cheap. I now use the Tato ridgeline quilt hooks. I hesitate in writing this because I don't want to direct business away from Paul, as I am a fan of the items I have purchased from him. Just wanted to make you an informed buyer in case you hadn't come across those methods here in the forum yet.

I'd like to hear the advantages of the AHE TT's over something like the Tato ridgeline quilt hooks if anyone has tried both.

I have a WB XLC and a HG Incubator 20*. I have alway had a little trouble keeping the UQ on my shoulder at night. And yes I watched Shugs video and many others. I just flop around a lot when I sleep, It's a bad back thing.I ordered some Triangle thingies from Paul and no more issues. These thingies work great. Foot end shock cord all the way extended and clipped to the plastic loops on the UQ. Head end extended to loop under shelf. Exit side I tied a small loop to the cord lock and clip thingie to that, adjust cord to preference.

Triangle Thingies work best with netted hammocks. Going directly to your ridgeline is the best solution for no net hammocks.

The guy that thought those things up intended them to be easy on the netting of the hammock. He may have over thought those since a triangle of cord would work just as well. I have also made triangles with cord and ribbon for a lighter version. The ribbon was used over the netting.

The important thing is to get the UQ to pull up instead of out. There are many ways of accomplishing this.
