is there any directions out there to make your own Triangle Thingies? I like the idea of using shock cord or rope.

While I'm still experimenting, my feelings are that I get a better set up with triangle thingies than without. Like Alf233 above I move around a bit and find the UQ occasionally slips off my shoulder or my feet kick up and over the edge even with the quilt snugged up tight at the ends. I have a WBBB and full length HG Incubator and use the triangle thingies connected to the triangle rings on the UQ that are further towards the middle than the ends. I find it gives more of a bathtub like setup by pulling the sides up more and resists my movements better.
Similar could be achieved with just shock cord over the ridgeline and I may try that to reduce weight a few more grams but the triangle thingies do work well for me and are probably less wearing to the bug net than clips or cord on/over the ridgeline.
do a google search and you will a few DIYis there any directions out there to make your own Triangle Thingies?
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I find that I need to use the triangle thingys for my Jarbridge UQ but not for my HG phoenix.

This weekend I camped on the Manistee River with my Warbonnet XLC using new 3 season jarbridge (45 deg. was the low). I adjusted the suspension about three times and it seemed to get better every time. I think the UQ sagged a little too much in the middle maybe a little tighter might do the trick. I can see where the triangle thingies would work better than the stock suspension. All in all I slept great. I used a sleeping bag on top Shug Style and it worked great.
