Continuous ridge line above tarp, but would like one under too!

    Hello all!
So on my hammock I have a continuous Ridgeline currently running underneath my tarp but I get concerned with water running down my ridgeline. I have drip lines but I wouldn't mind getting rid of them. So I was wondering if there was someway to run my ridgeline over the tarp, but still have some sort of ridgeline underneath, so I can tie my underquilt on it??

    Any advice would be great!

I don't think so. At least I can't imagine a way to do it. If you really need to tie your underquilt to a ridgeline (not sure why, since the Incubator works great without in my experience), you would probably need to add some kind of ridgeline to your hammock. I'm not familiar with Clark hammocks, but you can always add a ridgeline over the hammock. It doesn't need to be structural.

Just add a second piece of line running from the two tieouts you use for your CRL and have it running under the tarp?

I really like my ridge line on my hammock for this purpose. It makes it super easy to attach things to it and it makes for a more consistent lay. You can see my method for attaching my quilts in this short video. I hope this helps.

I say keep the ridgeline under the tarp. Simple drip lines work great and are going to be lighter than a second ridgeline not to mention the tangled mess you might have packing up. I agree with hutzelbein in saying all my HG UQ's work great and hang tight enough. If u would need anything in the middle of the incubator, just purchase some quilt hooks from Dutch that clip right on to the seem of the hammock.
