Hammock double ended stuff sack with sewn in strap pocket

Well, the sign that the apocalypse is upon us. Yesterday sleet and freezing rain. Today 3-5 inches of snow expected in Louisiana of all places!!
So I got to finish up a friends 11 foot hammock and thought I would add a little something extra. I am certain it is not an orgional design but I do like the way it works.

Final weight with hammock, ridge-line, ridge-line organizer, (2) 9" continuos loops, A pair of cinch buckles and two twelve foot straps

Thought the pocket would work for organization and to some degree keep any sap off hammock. Fun to make on this cold icy evening

I like this and need to do one for my hammock. I did a similar thing for my tarp. Used heavier nylon on the pocket to hold the stacks. Tried one with multiple outside pockets to hold the lines as well.

I tried to figure out how to make one of these pockets with seams that folder under the pocket (I'm not sure the correct term, you know, when you sew with wrong sides out then turn outside in), but don't think it will physically work that way. Your pocket looks good!

Thanks, I really enjoy making the gear. I had never sewed until August 2013. Got my machine from my wife's mom. I am not near as good as a lot of people on here but I am way better than when I started!

Thanks! 90% of everything I have made has come from ideas/instructions that others have shared. I am good at copying! Glad to be able to share.

Thanks! Yep. Me too. I couldn't figure it out either. I guess if you wanted to make the pocket big enough, you could ?underhem? the bottom of the pocket and finish both edges in the seam of the stuff sack. i.e. the pocket would wrap entirely around the stuff sack. Just a thought.
