Howdy!
Just introducing myself. I've been on the ground my entire life and am strongly considering a switch to hanging. I was laid off last week and decided to do a NOBO thru-hike here in a few weeks. Everyone told me this was the best place to go for info, so here I am. Thanks for the help in advance!

Welcome Boomer, you should come to the Uwharrie hang at Yates Place next weekend Mar. 6-8. It is just down the road from you. I am a NOOB to hanging, attended my first group hang in Jan. at Grayson/Highlands in VA and met a lot of great people. This will be my first Yates Place hang, hope to see you there
