Whoopie Sling - First time user question - set up question

Hey folks, I just got a package in the mail from Dutch. Always exciting. I was using speed hooks, but figured I'd give whoopie slings a try one of my other hammocks. Got my first set in today and I'm heading out this weekend for a two night trip so I was excited to get these set up.

Take a look at the photo below. What I've done is taken the fixed eye loop from the whoopie sling and fed it through the sewn end of the hammock and larks headed it in place. I had a continuous loop there previously. Seems correct, but I had a problem finding a good description of this while googling.

Second image is an Illustration from the Ultimate Hang that makes me think I'm on the right track but I wanted to confirm.

    Thanks all.

Yep, and if you wanted to shorten the Whoopie a little(to reduce the distance needed between trees), you could loop it a second or third time through the channel.

Just one small comment. As installed, you have no break for rain coming down the whoopie and soaking the hammock. Might want to consider a descender ring and a short continuous loop.

A shoestring, or other absorbant material, will function as a water break as well. D-rings work great as water breaks, but I don't want any more metal in my system than needed. I'm not knocking rings, it's just nice to have a non-metalic option for water breaks. Shug uses a Dutch Biner, in place of a D-ring. With that setup you have the option of a quick disconnect.
