I'm excited about 2.0 but I still happily use my 1.0 every night with no problems yet. I tell my cats not to sleep under my hammock at night, but they have a lot of faith in Dutch apparently. So do I.

Saw a friend using the 1.0 version of the speed hooks. I can't wait unitl the next version comes out. I'll switch from my strap and buckle to them.

I'm using my Speed Hook Primes to attach my jerry rigged gravity filter to a tree.

I'm checking this thread on a daily basis for updates. I hope that I haven't gotten anyones hopes up by bumping this thread to the top again. Only to find out it is only me.

I haven't noticed any significant slippage with the v1's ... they seem pretty rock solid for my 205 lbs.

I have noticed that you really need to firmly set the loop tho.

Worst case scenerio is that Dutch never makes a 2.0 and I'll end up with two sets of extremely useful titanium gadgets that can be utilized for anything. I'm currently using my set as whoopie hooks and my son is using his as originally designed. I should have gone to whoopie hooks a long time ago, but thats another thread. When 2.0 does come out, I'll be the first in line but if they don't, I haven't lost a thing.

Yeah, I'm kind of in limbo right now because I'm still using dutch buckles and whoopie slings. I was getting ready to switch to whoopie hooks when speed hooks were first unveiled, so I held off. If SH2.0 doesn't materialize, I'll go to whoopie hooks. It's just a matter of deciding how long I'm going to wait...
