I had thought about putting up a hammock in my apartment instead of getting a bed. I had been sleeping on a feather bed and pillow top layered on the ground for a few months, and I liked the idea of having more floor space. Although eventually I got a bed anyway because I didn't want to drill holes in the wall and have to fix them up before moving out in agreement with my lease.
Got a set of hooks in my daughters room, for sleepovers, and my son wants to go full time but we're meeting a little resistance from the "Home Office".

One of our scouts after seeing me hang at summer camp, talked his mom into getting rid of his bed and putting a hammock up while his day was away, hehe. His mom said he slept 12 hrs he first night and hadn't slept that well in a long time
Put up one of Dutch's 11' argon hammocks in my 11yr old's room about a month ago, he hasn't been back in his bed since.
Train up a child in the way he/she should hang,
And when they are old they will not become ground dwellers.
I also did this for my son lol 3 weeks and still counting

Macy's would have a hammock section...hammock dust ruffles and inflatable throw pillows and such!

My 4 year old and I are hanging full time. I plan to move my bed out, but first I want to make underquilts for us. Last weekend we had a friend over that was 4 years younger than I and her little brother who was 5, they slept in our bunk bed and we used the hammocks.
Us weirdos make the world an interesting place. It would be boring if everyone was the same.
My son (10) wants to take his bed out and hang full time. It's tempting as it will keep his room cleaner too.
