Awesome! Will there be an option for these diy kits to come with the same storage bag as the regular kit?

Yes You will be able to add the bag as an option. Because the ridge pole and legs are 5 ft. lengths they will extend about 18 inches from the top of the bag. All components will fit in the bag. You may need to stow 2 of the 5 ft leg sections inside the ridge pole sections so that everything fits in nicely.

Only if they have been bad dogs the day you order

Just what I need, ordered placed.

Quick question - could holds in the 1 1/4" conduit be drilled further than 6" from the end to shorten the height of the stand? This would also decrease width of required footprint. Basically not sure how far up into the leg pieces the 1 1/4" can go, but I'm planning on drilling a series of holes in the legs for height & uneven ground adjustment.

    Thanks!

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

First and foremost, thanks for the order
Just for clarity, the holes in 1 1/4 legs that you will be drilling are only 4" from the end, since you will be sliding the lower leg into upper leg provided 6" and marking thru the predrilled holes that are 2" from end. With the holes drilled at this location the center line of ridge pole will be 68" from the ground, and the dog bones in place the legs are spread 55". You will have approx 18" of travel inside the upper leg section. you should use caution with how many holes are drilled in lower leg pieces, because of the amount of force being put on them. We didn't load test them with the extra holes.

I also ordered one. Since I have no trees in my backyard, I can hang back there when not out in the woods. Life is good.

Thanks Tim, exact details I needed. I was thinking of perhaps total of 3 sets of holes - 4", 10", 16" (high, medium, low), and not necessarily along the same line - maybe 60 deg rotation between each, with perm marker guides drawn down from each to make it easier to locate them. I'd replace the dogbone w/ a whoopie to handle leg spread adjustability per the full kit. I think this would offer a nice range of adjustability without compromising the integrity of the legs. I'll use caution when testing of course!
